On behalf of the Great Lakes Networking Society of BC (GLBC), I would
like to convey my best wishes and gratitude for your precious
collaboration over the course of the last year. 2020 was a difficult
year for the entire earth, as communities faced an unprecedented
pandemic, which put a spotlight directly on the ways in which
pre-existing racial inequities have placed racialized communities,
religious minorities, and especially Indigenous Peoples and people of
African Descent/African diaspora at an even greater risk than before. In
the midst of this global pandemic, you have shown resilience,
perseverance, and determination, as we strived to keep our countries,
communities, homes, streets, and workplaces safe from the multiple
effects of COVID-19.
After a life-altering year, we really do not know what is ahead of us.
We need to keep evolving, to have faith despite the challenges. Positive
developments came out of 2020, placing health and safety protocols as
the primary drivers of any plan. One is the use of technology that will
move us forward to the next decade. At the GLBC – we have been truly
moved by the ways in which we have all come together, without reserve,
to make a change and or transformative difference in the lives of people
from coast to coast to coast.
Thank you
CEO
