The Great Lakes Society of BC is proud to announce Harambeecouver2025!, a dynamic three-day arts and culture festival celebrating the voices and visions of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) artists. Held at the Vancouver Art Gallery from August 8–10, 2025, this free community event offers a powerful platform for cultural expression, entertainment, and connection.

With the theme “Afro Echoes of Renaissance: Reclaiming Roots, Honoring Legacies,” the festival pays tribute to ancestral wisdom while spotlighting contemporary creative excellence. Visitors can look forward to:

🎧 DJ sets and dance floors
🎤 Live music from singers and bands
💃 Dance performances
🎭 Stand-up comedy sets
👗 A vibrant fashion show
🍲 Food vendors serving global flavours
🎨 Visual arts, handmade crafts, and local vendors

“Our goal is to amplify BIPOC voices and create joyful, affirming space for community connection,” said the organizing team. “Harambeecouver2025! is more than a festival—it’s a movement rooted in art, resilience, and heritage.”
