Objectives of the Great Lakes Networking Society of BC (GL-BC)
Promote Justice and Legal Empowerment for Black Communities
a. advocate for equitable access to legal resources and systems for Black individuals and communities
b. Work collaboratively to reduce systemic biases in legal and justice systems through education, training, and partnerships
Strengthen Legal Education and Empowerment
a. Equip marginalized and underserved communities with the knowledge, tools, and resources to navigate legal challenges effectively
b. Raise awareness of legal rights and responsibilities through accessible, multilingual educational campaigns and workshops
Advance Advocacy and Community Mobilization for Racial Justice
a. Strengthen the voices of Black communities in shaping policies, laws, and societal norms through advocacy and grassroots mobilization

Promote community resilience through targeted Training programs: Following insights from workshops like those from Statistics Canada and the Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF), source grants to launch training sessions for underserved and interfaith community members.

Strengthen Justice, Equity, and Inclusion, advocating for policies and practices that reduce systemic inequities and enhance access to opportunities for marginalized communities, especially Black people in Metro Vancouver.
